2013 was the the year…

End of year reviews are everywhere aren’t they but I really wanted to share with you the highlights of my year. 2013 has become a significant year for me professionally and personally.

2013 was the year that..I landed my first professional job. That’s right after the last 18 months of applying, searching and more applying . I did it! I am a fully functioning member of society and I can’t explain how happy that makes me. I am now working as a publishing assistant for a local publishers after finishing my 12 weeks with Prince’s Trust  Team Programme in July.

In 2013, I learned how to knit!!.. This is the thing that makes me the most happy 😀 I learned how to knit. If you have been reading this blog for a while you will know that I come from a family of knitters so this is an important one!

In 2013, I attended my first yarn and fibre festival.. Well actually 2! I attended Woolfest in Cumbria and The British Wool Weekend in Harrogate this year! Two different events but equally lovely. I am hoping to visit Alexandra Palace in 2014! so even more yarn love expected.

In 2013, I joined twitter and became part of a lovely and very talented bunch of crafters called #craftblogclub. We meet and chat on twitter on a tuesday night. 19:00 til 20:30! If your around.. Join us! We would love to see you!

In 2013, Girlinknits was one year old! This review is really a little note to say a big thank you for following me and my blog throughout 2013. It really does mean the world to me.

in 2014, I hope to blog more and craft even more and I would live for you to join me along the way! Happy new year to you all! Wherever you are in world and see you in 2014.
